Anaerobic digestion is widely used as a source of renewable energy. The process produces a biogas, consisting of methane, carbon dioxide and traces of other ‘contaminant’ gases. This biogas can be used
directly as fuel, in combined heat and power gas engines or
upgraded to natural gas-quality biomethane. The nutrient-rich digestate also produced can be used as fertilizer.

mesophilic / thermophilic digesters and pasteurising digesters in a

Biogas generated from the anaerobic tank can be cleaned and
conducted directly to the gas pipeline, or converted into
electricity with generators using combined heat and power engines.
This also gives the opportunity to generate heat energy in the form
of hot water. In the end of the process the digested material can
be considered for use as fertilizer, which increases the
utilization of waste.
GFS/Enamel is not only used for composing the tank walls but also
for the tank roof on anaerobic digesters. The Glass-Fused-to-Tank
roof can certainly keep the biogas leaking out as it has excellent
air tightness. Additionally, Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks can also be
used for biogas storage by incorporation of double membrane covers.
The bolted enamel tank can be dismantled, expanded and removed
easily, good in corrosion/abrasion resistance. This make it more
advanced than other facilities for producing biogas.
